The blue/white on the input side (side with the gain dials) is your turn on

You need to cap off the blue/white on the output side because it is a remote-out, so it gets hot when the amp is on. Don’t want that shorting anything out.

For the gains, you can get real specific if you want, but normally I find powerpacks usually end up somewhere near 12o’clock.
Take a song you know very well, put the radio at maybe 50, and start turning up the front gain until the music distorts, or starts to become muddy and “too loud”

Turn the rears to about that same position.

Does this upgrade improve volume as well as clarity? I cruise on the highway a lot with all the windows down and would appreciate some more juice!!

They are titanium dome tweeters which are much more efficient so they should sound a good bit louder while still using the factory radio. However, the radio will still be pushing the same amount of power. You may find yourself wanting an amp like many others in this thread

You’re right. I stand corrected. I didn’t look at the product makers page for this.

Yeah I’m always up for contacting the manufacturer for support (in my work, that’s sometimes your only option for troubleshooting or tech help) but they seem to make it very clear they are not in the “tech support” field when it comes to their DIY products. Oh well I suppose. That’s what the forum is for

It just seems to me that if they sell a product that they call plug and play, it should be exactly that. If it’s not, why buy it. Buy the amp and harness from Crutchfield and get all the support you could ever need.

It's really only "plug and play" if you use their amps.

He didn't need to buy the harness they sell for this application.

After I received it in the mail, I thought the same thing. I will still use it, but I could have, with advice from those more knowledgeable than me on this forum, made my own for a fraction of the cost.
    Live and learn I suppose....
