Yes. It does... I finished my install last night and my commute into work this morning on OV1.01b + good sound = happy morning at the office! I've spent many mornings pissed off driving this truck and that's starting to change in a big way recently!

Haven't found myself hating the truck, but the factory speakers suck, no doubt about that. Ordered the replacements this morning just now, should have them in early next week.

Really, I had no idea you could do that, I wasted extra time pulling the A Pillar covers, Doh! Those Tweeters are such a good upgrade, worth every penny!

I am well over 2k in my truck and I love it. Like most things, you get what you pay for. Did I initially intend to put that much in? Hell no. Do I get a warm feeling inside when people turn their heads expecting a Chrysler 300 on 22's and look shocked? Hell yeah

Thanks so much for the post. Sick of some people claiming you need to drop 1k+ for a "decent" audio system.

Yep - its all about perspective and what's important to you. I feel like, for less than $250 total I got FAR more than I expected for the money and that makes me happy! Enjoy

    I do have a question

I see that your front door speakers are 6x9 and the rear doors are round 6 3/4. I'm on crutchfield looking at some other options and they claim the round ones fit both front and back. When you did your installation did you see that was the case?

Yup stuck with the Stock HU in my 2013 and did all door speakers (6x9 3 ways in the front, and 6.5 3 ways in the rear) along with tweeters and it sounds SOOOO much better. all for under 150 bucks. Well worth it. The stock speakers have SUUUUCH a small driver its almost comedic.

You can run either 6x9 or 6-3/4 in the front door, just takes a different adapter. 6-3/4 in rear door.

If you put in your truck model, it should provide you with a note whether these fit or not but not having seen the access cab rear speakers. If they don't work Crutchfield is AMAZING with returns and exchanges - best I've seen, in fact.

I punctured one of my rears this last weekend and figured I'd have to buy another set. 2 days later a new set was at my house for free with a return label for the ones I destroyed being clumsy :)

You want 6x9s in the front. 6 3/4 in the rear. you could do 6 3/4 in the front with adapters but you'd be leaving A TON on the table in terms of sound quality... those are much bigger, 3-way vs. 2-way and are 400W peak vs. 300W peak

Replacing my stock speakers is on my road map *pun intended*. But my biggest question and concern is, when you upgrade the speakers, do you still get the same/better response (true definition of response dB/watt) with new speakers?

This was my hesitation... YES, its much BETTER in fact. By far. Unlike times I've done a simple swap like this in the past where you lose definition and power... Like I said the Entune head unit will happily power better speakers (with more oomph and less distortion in my experience).

Good to hear. <- my puns have been on fire today. I'm probably going to get fired at work... ;)

I've done 10+ car installs and I just haven't touched this stock head unit yet.

Yeah most older HUs have a hard time pushing a higher quality speaker and you have to push 20% more volume setting to get the same loudness especially in the low frequency range.

It would be interesting to compare the sound of this speaker upgrade with the sound of the system with just a small amp added.
