Ordered it all, thank you very much!

I saw the tweeters weren't prime on Amazon so I jumped over to Ebay and saw them about 8 bucks cheaper there so here's the link for a slightly better price.

For the adapters and/or speakers, did you apply any foam tape to the surfaces that mount together? Think that's needed?

If you are going to buy speakers, I have yet to find better deals than Cruchfield. They throw in all the adapters and installation adapters/ tools screws needed to do the job for free.

I replaced the tweeters a few months back and noticed a big difference but wasn't quite ready to spend a bunch more cash to continue upgrading the stero. This is exactly what I was looking for as far as upgrades. Simple, inexpensive, and no cutting or splicing.

Just completed my crutchfield order! And I had some points to use, so $120 shipped to my house isn't bad. Thanks OP @bshammer0

Yeah, with the sale, my total cost was like 224 shipped with everything. That's a hell of a price for what sounds like a great upgrade. Looks like the factory 6x9 is a single way and it's probably only getting the lower frequencies...in my experience going to a 3 way there reduces the overall punch so I hope that doesn't happen here, but based on bshammer's review that doesn't seem to be the case so fingers are crossed.

This is my main concern as well...

The factory speakers have pretty good bass. I hope I don't lose that

I am going to try the 2-way for the front door. Another option is the component system for 100 and not use the tweeter if you want to keep kicker. Going to compare pricing on others not on sale.

Anyone know if this upgrade is compatible with the Entune Audio Plus that comes with the SR5? Thanks!

Anyone know what the difference is between the 43DSC69304 and 43CSC6934 speakers are? The DSC is $20 cheaper and has the same specs except they are 4 ohm vs 3.5. Peak power handling is also down, but sometimes higher peak power handling means less useful sound output per watt right??

Those are what I ordered, installing tomorrow. The Crutchfield website sometimes has an issue with which speakers go front and back. I believe both cab styles are 6x9 front and 6.5 rear but you can go 6.75 if you want.

It looks like DSC are their OEM replacement line vs the CS which are competitive series that are usually paired with an amp.
They both give you the same frequency response. I guess you can cough up the extra $20 to get a better built speaker.
I would pay the extra and get the better voice coil that can take a beating.
Granted the you will get more out of the more expensive ones when you crank up the volume on them.

Either way, both are at a reasonable price.

If I'm not mistaking, I think the 3.5 ohms might result in a little bit more volume than the 4 ohm speakers

You would hope so but what you have to see is the frequency response per watt graph for each speaker... both are rated at 90-91dB/1watt so they essentially will give you the same volume/watt.

Not sure if these will make a difference but I called Crutchfield to ask about whether or not it would be worth using a different series or 2 way vs. 3 way speaker and they said no, using a stock head unit, you wouldn't see a difference...However, he recommended I buy baffles to get some additional bass response. Here's what he ordered for me, indicating they were compatible with truck/speaker selection for the CS Kickers. He suggested cutting out a quarter sized hole in the back.

How much of a pain is it to replace the door speakers?
