yeah maannnn... c'mon the tweeters are cheap... then you gotta have the speakers... oh wait then you gotta get the deadening... oh and then there's a sub.. and while you're at it why not an amp? oh and now I can't hear my truck anymore b/c my speakers are so loud... time for a new intake and exhaust to hear above the jams...

seriously though. the speakers alone are not bad costwise - just do it! you're practically MAKING money on the deal...

seriously. i got the tweeters and speakers back when you first posted this. i have been SLAMMED with work and life (3 daughters with another daughter due in the next two weeks) and i haven't had any time to put them in yet. but i just got my noico today. haha. reading this damn thread had me convinced i need to add it now instead of doing it later. so now i have tweeters, speakers and the noico waiting to be installed. driving me crazy. had them sitting there for a month or so!

wow 4 daughters! I applaud you... we just had our first (and likely only) child - a little girl and are underwater adapting as-is! I did get the install done just in time for her to arrive though so daddy can jam at volume 60 to get his loudness quota in. haha

Maybe this was mentioned earlier but if I wanted to add an amp but didn't want to replace all the factory speaker wires how many watts a safely be ran on factory wiring?

:anonymous: It has been 20 yrs ago when I did a sound system and can't remember exactly how to run everything. Plus now that I'm older just looking for a nice sounding setup without spending 3k again

I think you'd be okay with one of those Alpine power packs. They only push 45 or 50 watts and you should be able to install it behind the dash.

Well then you might just want to revise the how much you will sell them for since they are on sale at Crutchfield... Sorry man.

Well cool, I didn’t happen to check since I obviously already bought them. Didn’t figure they’d drop so much in price in less than 2 weeks.

    $115 shipped

If you got them from Crutchfield you can get them to give you a refund on the deference you paid. Look back a few post.

I'm gonna be broke with you today. But the price on Crutchfield is too good not to take advantage of.

And i couldn't agree more, the other speakers are 'exposed' now that I upgraded the tweeters.
