Mine are for sale, the 6x9's were never installed and tweeters and rear door coaxials were only on for a couple of weeks , includes all adapters and connectors $175.00

 

Finished the fronts. Still waiting for the rear speakers to come in.

 

Gifted myself some tweeters for christmas---will be installing it in the next few days. Gonna try to get away with not removing the A pillar- seems like its a 50/50 of people removing and not removing it on here.

 

Remove a piller i tried that and broke tweeter cover. Its one bolt driver side 2 passenger

I didn’t remove my pillars. Took me 10 minutes to install both tweeters.

 

The pillor covers a portion of the tweeter plate. The pillor took less that a minute to remove so simple. Some have success because they are able to slip it out but if it catches youll break the clip like i did. I just replaced tweeters again and so much easier just removing the 10mm bolt and sliding over cover. One last tip. Carefully pop off the bolt covers on passenger side grab handle on the upper one there is a retention clip inside that easily bends and wont let you reisnstall. No worries if that happens needle noise pliers put right back in place

If I purchase these two sets of speakers from Bestbuy in person will they have all the parts that I will need to plug and play? Or will I need an adapter or wiring harness?
I could order from Crutchfield, but I am on a time crunch and would like to buy the parts and complete the install in one day.

 

Depending on your store, they may have the Metra adapters in stock (you need adapters for mounting AND wiring if you want plug and play). You would likely be spending a considerate amount more, though, as Crutchfield will throw this stuff in for free. I ended up going with Crutchfield myself, and I'm glad I did.

 

I see. That answers my question then. Looks like I will be ordering from Crutchfield instead. Thank you for the help.

Cross post from a different thread, but I snagged the Subaru Kicker tweeter from the local Subaru dealership. Install was about 30 minutes. Overall, its worth it for anyone on the fence about upgrading the tweeters.

 

Will the Subaru tweeters plug and play in a 2014?

 

Also wondering, I want an upgrade like this in my 15' and don't care and can't stomach 1500 for the oemaudio
