It opened a can of worms in a good way . Wish I did it long ago..... Moab helped that decision. outcome gave me more throttle response.

IMG_20220525_173018_309.jpg not performance related at all but I bought my wife cover kings neoprene seat covers for her 2020 Camry and I got the Rc neoprene. F'kd up thing is Rc was way cheaper and has the same quality

    No.

The difference I noticed was MAYBE 1mpg at most. Considering fuel cost differences and that 1mpg loss, the lower grade saves me significant money. I don't have any loss in performance that I can notice even with the butt dyno so it makes no sense to buy premium for me. Now with my 06 ls430 it did matter, I noticed dropped performance and mileage, but it was otto cycle only. The 2gr has atkinson to otto cycle switching so it can better adjust even for knock, unlike my ls could.

Damned nostalgia, I digress XD for me it's not worth it.

WHAT DOES MATTER is don't buy walmart or murphy gas...buy TOP TIER gas. This is scientifically proven...even youtube proven!! XD But top tier gas is what matters most...lower octane is of no concern.

I believe the knocking your hearing is the injectors. It’s normal.

That's not the "knock" that I'm referring to. But yes, that is also normal for us.

Straight gas is about 60 cents a gallon higher here in Olney, IL. If I still cut wood I would burn it in my chainsaw and log splitter for sure.

If it makes you feel good, it is your money, but there is nothing "premium" about premium except the price.

Idk if you ever tried trufuel in your saw, or any other power equipment but that stuff runs so much better your engines will get addicted to it. Only issue you can buy 5 times or more pump gas for what that stuff goes for.

Buying ethanol free gas at the pump, way cheaper then buying the Trufuel.

Yeah I think it was about 50 cents more. Since i work from home, i rarely have to fill up, so the extra costs doesn't break the bank. I do fill up a few 5 gallons while i am there for my small engines.

I'd have to drive over a 300 mile round trip to get some....not cost effective.
