I have upgraded the Speakers now I'm debating a Audio Control LC-4.800 amp with OEM Premium non-JBL or would I be cheating myself from going aftermarket HU with amp?
What aftermarket HU's are you using and what should I expect?

    Thanks

Fidelity across the spectrum and bring the rear speakers in more for fuller sound in the cabin

for a more full sound, a head unit and/or dsp is going to offer the best options for a clean flat signal going to a decent amp with new wiring. a head unit and/or dsp is also going to allow tuning it to your specific preferences.

but there's absolutely nothing anyone can do with any amount of money to make the rear speakers sound good.

If you are going to upgrade your head unit, get one with volume and tuning knobs. I made the mistake in 2014 of getting the Alpine ILX-007 that only had software buttons for increasing volume and tuning radio channels and it was a horrible mistake. Its annoying how cumbersome pushing the volume button 20 times to turn it up or down instead of rotating a knob. Take my advice.... seriously if youre going to get an aftermarket HU, get one with knobs.
