They have lots of after market parking sonar kits available. Just google it .

 

Contra472 I agree w/you. Just beginning to consider giving up my trusty, solid '98TRD on a new '16. NOTHING wrong at all w/the current truck, but the new tech and creature comforts are sure nice, and I happen to like the styling. However, much as when I bought the '98, I really intend THIS one to be the last new vehicle I buy pending any loss of what I'm currently driving. My big question is also the durability of the tech over the decade(s) and tens/hundreds of thousands of miles. Will the touch screen, backup camera, all the sonar and sensors still work? Plus exposure to freezing temps in the winter and 100+ degree temps in the summers will take its toll as well. I garage my vehicles, but I also drive them out in the real world where they're exposed to this stuff. We've all seen computer monitors w/fuzzy lines, off colors etc in the workplaces (at least I have) and these are in climate controlled environs. How much to replace a digital dash panel on one of these? Maybe I should buy a half dozen NOW, and save them for e-Bay in 10 years to sell as NOS. Might fund my retirement that way...haha.

 

All I know is a lot of my personal electronics don't seem to work right after a few years. The less doo-dads in the truck, probably better chance of not having problems in the long run. I mean, if companies that make nothing but electronics and software can't get that shit to stay working, I really don't have much faith in auto manufacturers.
