Had a part day Friday and made a plan change to my front elevation and added a couple windows above the carriage doors , finished that wall today so now I am actually ready to block and sheet all the walls starting tomorrow

I would love to have a massive shop but I can't fit that here or afford it lol , I think I'll be pretty happy when I'm in this building plus a bit less space forces you to be efficient in what you want to store instead of keeping 10 of everything because you have room for 10 of everything

Do you have to go through a permit change for the window add or is that a superficial deal that doesn't require a re-submital?

no problem with permitting process because I have a structural engineer involved on this file , just had to ok it with him which was no problem , only structural change was height of LVL header that carries ridge beam loads over door and now door & windows

That just solidified my dilemma for the size shop I want/need. Kept thinking "weeell if I had a larger shop I could have so much more room for activities" But price jumps up quickly.
Of course I'm not building on my own like you are though. Nice progress so far

Nothing too exciting to report today , I'm just working on the wall plywood but thought this might be interesting , prior to installing the plywood I'm filling any wall cavities that will be difficult or impossible to insulate later with XPS styrofoam insulation

    Yeah.
Smart! In HS I had a buddy whose dad owned a roof insulating company for a while, they would use this spray-on foam that would harden into a styrofoam-like substance (on the outside of the building), looked like rows of snow. His dad was from the sticks in Georgia, and aesthetics weren't high on his list. He did their entire hunting cabin in East Texas, sealed it up so well you couldn't even use the fireplace without cracking the door. But, it was warm. He did the roof on their rental house, too, which we later rented together -- being in TX, the only directions we had to give people was "the house with the snow on the roof."
