I own a hardwood flooring install/refinish company and I finally broke down and bought my sanding crew both a Rotex 125 and an ETS 150 a few months ago. My guys are obsessed! It was a chunk on change to dish out but the improved job quality, speed, and joy my guys get out of using them are worth every penny I spent. I'm usually pretty frugal with my money but in this case I am extremely happy with my decision.

Installing the base flashing for the corrugated metal siding today , I guess siding season has officially kicked off

You can kind of see now how the vertical plywood blocks at the bottom of wall work to provide a 3/4" drain and vent cavity for the rainscreen while still providing attachment for the bottom of the siding & flashing

Finished up installing all the flashings required to put on my corrugated metal siding over the weekend .

Not sure what kind of automated brake the metal place has that can turn out these corners but I would like to see it in action

Corners , base and upper J in place

Most of the metal I have for this building was an order that got cancelled at my lumber supplier's yard that I bought cheap on spec almost 3 years ago so none of the lengths are correct for my building which means I'm cutting every sheet to length so I made a cross cutting table for my Makita metal cutting circular saw with a cross cutting "track rail" the table of the saw rides on and blade cuts flush to the edge of the track rail . All I need to do is slide the metal under the track rail till my pencil mark is flush to the side of the rail and cut . Perfectly square cut each time , same concept as a track saw.

    Started installing panels this morning

That is a temporary door from one of my job sites , I'm going to build a door later but I can't do that by code so it won't happen till after my final inspection but I decided I should install the real jamb now with that steel door hung in it and then just swap out the door itself later but in the meantime I will be able to complete the exterior trims and the siding around that door can go on and not have to come off later

Just need to mill up some jamb stock and then I can get door hung at my local door shop so I'm just leaving that area for now

Out of curiosity, what will be the final wall thickness once completed (from outer panels to interior drywall)?

I have a metric tape measure that I keep in the truck for random, just-in-case stuff. It has inches marked in smaller font as well but it’s still a novelty here in SoCal.
