Prepping a little for a hurricane if you live in that area makes sense. Prepping for a tornado makes no sense unless you have a tornado shelter. Prepping for the end of the world or zombie apocalypse is downright stupid. Everyone else is dead and you're the only one alive. Now what?

Failing to plan is planning to fail. "Disaster" has a different meaning to people based on how well they are prepared.

anyone seen the doomsday preppers episode with that guy named Braxton Southwick? From what they showed he had 4 trucks: A dodge and 3 Toyota's!

One was a late 80's 2wd, Then there was a white SR5 Taco with a custom bed, and a smexy built burgundy 1995-1997. This guy has a good taste in vehicles:D

    Yea I saw that one.

I don't buy into all of the people on there. I think half this crap is staged anyways.

I have no problem being prepared, having a bugout bag, firearm, some rations for a few days, whatever. But to have all these underground bunkers and 10 years of food for 37 people is ridiculous. It seems some of those people are just wasting their life away making the prepping thing like a job.

I'd rather not live in a post apocalyptic world anyways, seems like too much work. And really, you just need a gun. Any other supplies you can just steal from weaker people lol.

Some shit I got on craigslist
I've heard it on the show and commercials and in the other threads like the one above. If someone in nj had a room full of preps it would have been inundated with everything else. When I lived in a flood plain in nc they built the houses on stilts. I'm just saying there are practical solutions to natural disasters, stocking up on ammo and beans is not one of them.

this. i think having stuff around for a bad storm.(snow storm if you live some where that gets snow. a storm may come that takes out power for weeks) also tornados and stuff. have some food and drinks in each car/truck incase you break down or get stuck some where.

but the hole doomsday thing is BS IMHO. if something really bad is going to happen, i don’t think we will be here long after to see the out come. all those people with 1 year of food and water storage is nuts. if something really really bad is going to happen i don’t think we will be here 6 months or a year later.
