I was woundering if I could get some help choosing the best sounding exhasut for my truck. I have a 2005 access cab 4.0L v6. I want my truck to sound like a TRUCK. I have heard some tacomas that sound good but had no clue what kinda exhasut was under it.

The popular choices are flowmaster 40 series and magnaflow. I may be missing one.

Performance wise the dynomax super turbo seems to be one of the best if not the best atleast for a mostly stock engine.

I personally have an exhaust cutout so I don't have any drone when cruising but I can open her up when I want to hear the beautiful tunes this engine(or almost any other engine for that matter) puts out.

I don't remember the exact cost but it was a little over $300 after I got it welded on. According to their site it's $260 now.

    Just wondering?
Can opening and closing that while driving or while the enging is running cause moments of bad back-pressure that could do damage to the engine?

All comes down to personal preference and how loud you want it. I have the TRD and love it, although it's not as noisy as a lot prefer so if you're looking for something noisier you'll want to look elsewhere. Plus it's a little pricey when you can just do a muffler swap for cheap.
