Oh, here it goes, I have a 2004 4 door prerunner that I purchased back in 2014. It had 160k miles then and now its sitting around 350k. I found a front diff for it, I've already installed it but I know i need a Trans out of an 03 or o4 4x4 and the transfer case also, anyone know what else and where I could find it? Any help would be much appreciated. Im building this with my youngest son. Also looking for ideas for front and rear bumper winch ideas. We will be using the rig to do beach recoveries down here in the Texas coast.

Spindles with manual locking hubs, wheel bearings for 4x4 and either clamp the add actuator in the diff or swap a non-add axle tube. Front driveshaft. J shift transfercase would be easiest. You can keep your factory A340E trans and just swap in an output shaft from the A340F, the 4x4 tranny. I was doing this swap on a pre runner and found the cost of sourcing all of these parts used to be very expensive, so I bailed on the truck and bought another 4x4. Best case scenario in terms of cost and parts availability would be to find a totaled 4x4 truck at an insurance auction or something and just swap everything over between the two and part out the rest that you don't need when you're done.

Welcome to TacomaWorld and hell man, no need to apologize. It's a common question and one that could use its own sticky but who would want to write it lol. This should help kick off your research and reading time -

Time has passed since I completed the swap but if you run into any q's while researching/building - I'll try to answer. Post them up or just message them to me. Happy Wrenching!

Thanks for replying kindly. Got a lot to do to her, been used and abused by family but she still starts up faster than my 2022 charger lol. She has sat for 4 years due to all the damage my family had done to her but they don't make them like they used to.

as for winch bumper ideas, check out Coastal offroad. Thy have steel or aluminum if you want a lighter weight option. We also have this group buy running right now which will save you some money
