Hey guys, I've been mulling it over for a while and have decided I'm going to do the conversion. I have a 6 speed manual and I'll be using a transfer case from an automatic fj. I read a bunch of threads about this and I'm confident I have the ability to make it happen. Before I start buying parts I do have a few questions for those who know..
    1. I am aware of the input spline count on the tcase is different than my 2wd transmission. Is it practical/possible to modify the transmission I already have or should I just pay the money to get a ra60f? Cost savings is the only reason I ask.
    2. I've been driving around on maxtrac spindles and bilstein 4600's and I like my soft ride and height. Obviously when I add the front end I'll have to do something else for suspension lift. What is the softest set up with 3" of lift? I don't plan on wheeling this truck, just lots of winter driving and slick boat ramps. It's worth mentioning I have 400,000 miles and plan to reach 1,000,000. I love this truck and don't give a shit about resale value. Thanks to all you guys who share good info on this site.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Hell yeah dude, I’ll pull everything of a MT FJ Cruiser(non add front diff, transmission and transfer) locked the front diff and you’ll be golden.
