Hey there. Been searching the threads looking for someone who’s done this. I’m currently building a Prerunner Tacoma, Baja build.

Was wondering If anyone has modded their air bag system for off road use, mostly for big jumps and things of that nature. Don’t want those things to deploy having fun.

Side note, if I swap my driver seat out with ones from another truck(not a Toyota) will the lack of wiring turn off my air bag seat sensor? (They’re free/nicer so I’m considering it.)

thanks for any and all info.

I’m interested in the 2nd part of your post as I may have the front passenger seat out for a while.

You could put a multi pole switch in series for each squib valve supply. Wouldn’t be too hard.
