It sounds like a rubbing sound from engine bay im more or less worried it is the fuel pump as it goes away when I step on gas.

Fuel pump is in the tank under your bed so that's not likely. Pop the hood & use the arm on the throttle body to rev it (or a friend in the driver seat). Maybe that'll make it easier to pinpoint.

My PreRunner putting in work this past weekend. People underestimate what they can do. With some momentum and lockers, we can get to some surprising places! Of course, be smart about where you guy and what you try to do with it.

I love taking time off work to knock out errands, then my weekends are wide open to go nucking futs! I pre-ran 18 miles of the 405 freeway here in So Cal. Only took me an hour :annoyed:

What up lads! New owner here, thought I'd just post here instead of fighting the 4wd crowd. 2008 PreRunner new to me. Traded in my trusty Matrix.. man i loved that car, AWD, could sleep in it thanks to the flat folding passengers seat. Took that thing many places it had no business being....would take it to 300 000 miles if it wasn't for having a baby.

But, with the addition of a baby, I needed a bigger vehicle. Plus was sick of the dog being in the cabin. Enter the Tacoma. Priced 4wds but maaaaan those are expensive, and I've always been one to have what I need, and no more. Couldn't justify the $5-6k premium on a used car for the one or two times a year I needed 4wd. But 2wd with a locker, that'll do us! Esp here in New Mexico. My mantra is, if this truck can't get us there, we prob have no business being back there alone anyways.

Seems I got a good deal as the PO debadged it, so the dealer had it price as an SR5. But locker, bed power point, skid plate etc...this is def TRDOR.

    Aaaaand pics!

Congrats and nice truck! I also came from a matrix and I'm sad to not drive it anymore. What year was yours and how many miles?
