Take some pics of the leaf pack and underneath it out back, and then of top of the coilovers up front, and we should be able to tell you if its stock height or lifted

Kk will do first thing tomorrow and I appreciate it man my tires rub a little in the front and toyota replaced all the leafs in the back so I’m curious if the tires and new leafs might be what’s got it sitting a little higher . It’s ab 10 at night here so I’ll go out in the am and take pics and update thread

Sounds good. No prob. You can also get a measurement from the center of the hubs to the bottom of the fender flares and that is another way to tell if its lifted. Stock height trucks are typically 20” from center of hub to flare in the front and 22” in the back

(Give or take a half inch on the driver side for the taco lean)

That’s what I needed to kno I’ll still take pics in the am . I’m guessing my truck needs to be on a paved level surface to get accurate measurement ?

Yes level for sure, paved surface would be the easiest way to make sure its all level. Typically the drivers side reads a half inch less in ride height than the passenger. Both of my tacos have the lean

dang that’s crazy I def would have thought something was wrong but it sounds pretty common. Another quick question for ya . Would it be possible to say buy the shocks off a trd package tacoma from a junk yard and install on my truck . I read they come stock with billstiens

I think swapping the shocks over would be no problem. Look up a video on how to do it without a spring compressor. Involves disconnecting LCA and using floor jack to release the spring pressure. IMO you might as well buy new shocks though because used shocks don’t seem like they’re worth the trouble unless they’re dirt cheap.

I have take off 3rd Gen OR suspension on my truck. You definitely can just take them off a junk yard taco and install if desired.

Yessir definitely can do that. Better yet, start talking to folks in your area and you might find someone that will give you a set for free. Lots of great folks on here that upgrade to 5100s or lift their trucks and then the take offs just take up space. I recently got a free set from a buddy on here

The 2nd gen TRD off roads and sports came stock with bilstein 4600s

3rd gen shocks wont fit on 2nd gen coils and vise versa. Ask me how I know? :anonymous:
3rd gen coils are stiffer than 2nd gens also.

I only get 1 notification, and it's the person who post after the last post I read. Then no notifications after that guy unless I jump in the thread and read again. Then it repeats itself
