I checked, sway bar intact. I can’t believe I haven’t posted up in here, must have been posting in the what have you done to your 2nd gen thread. Either way I’ll get some better pictures up, I’ve been playing with it a bit. Seriously considering a retrofit headlight as mine are THRASHED but I get overwhelmed reading the threads.

2008 PreRunner sr5 regular cab I’m about to order adjustable 5100’s from hs and I’m thinking about getting ome883’s .set the 5100 set at zero (first mark)and according to headstrongs spec sheet the ome833s should give like 1.5 in the front .if Im remembering correctly and that was a 4x4 so it might be more . Really debating on using stock coils so not sure which route I’m gonna go since I just want my truck to sit close to level without doing the coil spacers. 150k so I need new shocks anyway .what I’m not sure about is do I need to purchase ucas or lcas with the 883s . I’m New to this been getting a lot of help from hs and a lot of members on here and I feel like I’m now on the home stretch just need a little more info so appreciate any tacoma wisdom regular cab help especially ....

Don't mess with LCA's unless you are going long travel. UCA's are not necessary, but if you have a ton of extra money they are nice. They can help out with ride quality when you have about 3+ inches of lift. They also add about an inch of travel depending on the UCA.

 

Yea someone just told me the same thing on another thread so I’m gonna get the 883s and 5100 adj bilsteins and let the coil do the lifting And then probably get a shop to install them , I think I’m looking at about 4-5 hundred on the shocks and coils not real sure ab the install price hoping I can find a deal somewhere, thanks for the help man might upgrade ucas eventually im not loaded by any means getting the above is probably gonna break the bank lol

Only time you should need UCA’s is when you go with 3” or more of lift. You should be fine with the 883’s set at zero. Post some pics when you’re done.

Just purchased this blutetooth and aux adapter off eBay , for short term use untill I upgrade stereo , does any one know if this connector will fit in the back of my 2008 oem stereo . My truck is a 2008 sr5 PreRunner regularcab 2.7 there Info and eBay vehicle verification says it will fit but when I emailed to confirm they want me to pull the stereo to check which is crazy since they clearly state it fits , was hoping someone on here would know , why I purchased first I don’t kno but I’m hoping I can find out before it ships and if it dont I can cancel

Ok y'all. I need some PreRunner advice. The input im getting from buddies is based on 4wd experience and the weight difference is enough to make me question it. Im looking to get new coilovers. I currently have Toytec Ultimate's i bought secondhand and they are too stiff. Im running a stingray lowpro winch bumper and a skid plate. Want something that maintains my 3" lift but gives me the softer ride im looking for. Any thoughts? Thanks!
