They are! They’re in great condition though. I can send pics tomorrow. And I don’t care about little blemishes like that. Like I said they’re just back ups in case I destroy one of my taillights on the trail. I hope to never need them.

Thanks! I'm new to trucks so I'm trying to soak up all the knowledge.

Debating taking my step bars off. I'm 6'2 and have no need for them. Feel like it would look better too. Thoughts and opinions from other PreRunners? I'd consider a different kind of step in the future.

I tok my stock steps off right when i got the truck. They didnt really allow enough room for my foot to use them as a legit step.

But, I wish I'd left em on till I atleast got my sliders. They still provide a tiny bit of protection from door dings.

I can understand that. I park far away from dingerers. Lol I don't feel the steps stick out far enough to prevent door dings though, my personal opinion. I did read about the sliders and I definitely want those in the future.

Question about rear lockers. I am assuming my truck does not have one. Are those activated via switch? I read some activate when they detect one wheel spinning moreso.

If you're is an offroad PreRunner it will have the locker. Other models will not

Depends on what kind of locker you have.. if you have a factory elocker, those are activated by a switch, as well as an ARB locker which still uses a switch, but uses air to engage.

The detroit trutrac is more of a limited slip diff on steroids and that one activates when wheel spin is detected..

both kinds are great options and really help the truck's capability! I have an ARB in mine and it has saved my ass several times already

    :spy:

Curt makes a really good one. I got mine on Amazon for like 140. Wiring hardness was a good extra 60 but is plug and play

Yeah, everything seems simple enough to set up for a non-mechanic like me. I don't haul anything but I'm excited to get the funds and do so at some point.

First goal is window tints and then rain/wind deflectors.

Check out AVS (Auto ventshade) for bug deflectors and in-channel rain deflectors

@ResearchMonkee i have them on my truck (previous owner added them) and theyre really nice

Obligatory pic... the hood bug deflector is stick on, so it sits flush versus sticking up, but the rain deflectors over the windows are in-channel. Id avoid the stick on ones, ive heard they dont hold up over time

I have the auto vent shade deflectors and in channel rain guards and absolutely love them
