    Hehe not this time.. wouldve been halfway up the windows:eek:

    Normally a dry creek near my house, but we got 2-3 inches of rain in about an hr and it started flash flooding

    Yeah water has me pretty cautious, dont wanna screw the truck up. I almost got caught in between these two crossings. This one the water literally started flowin thru right after i passed by. Now that i think about it it was pretty dumb to be out right after that much rain:oops:

    Glad to hear you made it out alright. I'm a GA guy myself so I never experienced "flash flooding" until I was temp-stationed in San Angelo. Places that look like they'd never seen rain before turned into 3ft deep ponds. It was crazy. I could go back to TX any day and enjoy it though...

    Does well. When it snows, I put about 300 pounds of sand in the back. If I get on ice climbing a hill in the driveway, the locker works well.

    Just an HT at the moment but going to mount a dual band shortly. I can hit local repeaters and about 5-6 miles on simplex with only 5 watts. Use the weather band almost every day.

    I've been a Signals Intel guy in the military for the past five years and have listened to you guys talk up a storm on some of my missions.

    After I get out I'd like to get a license and get a Ham setup installed in my truck as well.
