    Thanks. The van was cool, long wheelbase, 454, dana 70 and could really 4 wheel well. People were shocked to see it go down a lot of the trails.

    picked up a pallet of sod the other day....they said it weighed between 1800 & 2000 lbs...

    was definitely overloaded, but the truck handled it well...

    Depends on the tires and the driver...to a point. But past a certain point 4wd gets useless too, just not as soon.

    OK, I just got on this board and just got an 11 prerunner. My ignorance..what is a locker? Been a lonnnnnggg time since I bought a new truck. Last one was an 84 mazda b2000. Got the tacoma about two wks ago. it's a freakin computer on wheels! But drives pretty well. Replaced a 1991 trooper 4WD. The tacoma is 2WD, just didn't need the 4 anymore.

    Recovered a 2wd Nissan Pathfinder in soft sand with my Prerunner today. I love my truck.

    Locker plus my aired down BFG AT gets me everywhere in the sand out here I can legally go.

    Looking at getting a 05 Prerunner TRD Sport...Not sure if I should pull the trigger on it or not.. I'm use to my old 01 DC 4x4... But, when I think about it... I only used the 4x4 a few times and it was more for comfort and peace of mind then anything.
    We will see.. going to look at the 05 and a 03 DC 4x4 like the one in my sig (but stock) and see what works best.. I do like the 05.. its sweet!
