    Hey guys, I cannot belive i've been a member for over a year and i havent found this thread. :p

    Question: I plan on wheeling in the future. Future, as in the next couple years as money is not a close friend in college. I wanna know, what are the true limitations to a PreRunner? I mean I dont plan on crossing miles of rocks, or mud pits or anything to the extreme, just trails, water crossings, and things of medium nature if that makes sense. I dont plan on getting 4x4 as it's not needed in SC.

    I'm sorry to keep asking questions about this.
    I have a 05 prerunner sr5, did that model come with limited slip? I read one website that said it does and another that says it comes with an open differential. I'm assuming they're not the same

    No, the LSD 8.4" rear came in the TRD Sport.

    You can also jack it up and try to turn the tires by hand. If they lock up then you have it. At least that's my understanding of it. I think if the wheels turn in opposite directions then you have a LSD.

    My 07 TRD Sport has a white sticker with black lettering that says LSD. I also tested it out with a small smokey. Sure enough, two solid tracks.
