How far should I air down? I went once and aired down to about 20psi and I barely made it out without getting stuck. Once I got rolling I was afraid to stop anywhere other than the flat compacted sand by the shoreline. That and I was alone and it was like 5:30am and weren't a whole lot of people around to help pull me out.

I used to (pre beadlocks) air down to 12-15 psi in front and 10-8 psi in the rears and never had an issue

My truck did not come with the original user manual when I bought her used a few years back. How do you know if a truck has the TRD off road package? or so called tow package?

Part of that depends on what year your truck is. If you bought it with the stock wheels, the Offroad has 16" wheels with one pattern where as the Sport has 17" wheels with a different pattern. however that's still not a true indicator because those could have been changed out. Maybe someone else is better to answer this than me.

As for the tow package, the first thing I can think of is look to see if there is a transmission cooler that looks factory. If so, chances are you have the factory tow package.

    Depends on tire though

Some bulge quicker then others so going this low my not be necessary. My tires now are so stiff it seems like I could almost run them flat

I did the same with MTs and ATs I'm just saying its my tried and true method but it's true he wont know his limits till he rolls a bead or watches the tires bulge. I would not go lower than 10 in front that's just asking for trouble.

I've heard a lot of people say between 12-15psi...that should be enough air to keep me rolling, right?

Follow this VVVVVVV , I've noticed a difference with each tire. Its all about the side wall. Though with a C you might not have to go so low. You just don't want to come off the rim, not fun at all.
