so I'm going with an 8-10k build goal for my Prerunner. Typical 3.5 Total Chaos kit up front, king shocks all the way around with dual shocks up front eventually. This is meant to have fun in the desert and maybe a foot or two of air time.

My main questions are, short of back halfing the frame and doubling the cost of the build. How does everyone go for the rear suspension? A simple Dakar leaf spring swap for added lift? A shackle swap instead?

Also, I will eventually be adding a dual shock set up; is having hydraulic bump stocks a waste if I will go that route in the future or are they good enough to be used instead?

I was eye balling the Total Chaos 4 link they had, the 2nd set of shocks wasn't in the initial 8-10k build. I already know there will be another 8k-ish needed for the final build. I'm trying to break it up into phases where I can make it trail ready on the first phase, and go crazy for phase 2 since I'm not sure how long it'll be jn between phases with a new baby coming and working the side business.

King 25001-119A, JBA HC and superbumps, EL095 leafs with longer overload leaf removed and 2 degree shim, Bilstein 5160 rears with fox roost shield on passenger side, King 2'' bump stops, B&M 70264 trans cooler, CSF FJ radiator, Leer Trilogy X2T bed cover, Scangauge, 34R AGM battery, weathertech floormats, Gold plug on the differential, fancy engine and diff oils, UNI air injection filter mod, Factory antenna chopped 4'', De-badged, Ram mount on A pillar, Cooper ST Maxx 265/75 R16.
SUA, bed cage, upgraded hangars with cross brace. DMZ and Camburg seem to have some good options. I have no experience with it but spent some time drooling and thinking about it.
