I'd like to replace the front springs when I install new Bilstein 4600 shocks to match the new ones in the back. I want to keep the stock ride height with stock rate springs because it's a daily driver and won't see a lot of off road action at this time. The rear springs are stock and truck is sitting level with slight nose down even with 360lbs of sand in the front of the bed. I went to order stock springs from Toyota and found that the passenger spring has been discontinued and the parts guy was zero help on suggesting an alternate. So I started looking for aftermarket alternatives. Seems the OME springs all give a lift and have to be used with their shocks, so don't seem to be a solution for me. Moog 81082 seemed to get good reviews but all the normal sources are out of them so maybe they have been discontinued too? HUSKY SPRING SC20520 is the only one I've found so far that seems to be a proper substitute for my truck.

Does anyone have an alternate source for the OEM Toyota or MOOG springs? Am I missing other alternatives? Any feedback on the Husky coil springs?

    Details: '02 PreRunner, double-cab, 3.4l automatic, 2WD Off-road suspension.

    Toyota parts:
Driver side front coil spring 41832-AD170 available
Passenger side front coil spring 41832-AD160 discontinued

    Moog 81082 currently unavailable

    Husky SC20520 available from RockAuto

Often times people will pair the 4600s with OME 880 springs. Wheelers off road can even pre assemble the coilover for you. It's a good option to consider. And I wouldn't worry about any spring rate difference with the 880 vs stock, as you're a v6 double cab, so you'll have a little more weight than say a 4 cylinder extra cab.

I gave Wheelers a call and they don't carry the 4600 shocks and the guy said that they are not compatible with the 880 spring. But, they do have the 5100 shock pre-assembled with the 880 spring for $478 per pair. It's a little stouter than stock and he calculated it would give a 3/4" lift, which isn't terrible. Need to give that some consideration. He said it would be fine for what I described, but I tend to drastically over-analyze these kind of problems.

I have the 880 with OME shocks on a double cab v6 like you and it gave me 1.5" of lift.

I vote do it. If you don't want any lift that you CAN avoid, keep the 5100s on the lowest setting, or 0. I'm pleased with my 5100s paired to 881 coils on my Prerunner. And I'm not a double cab.

I think I'd roll the dice with the Husky's before a mystery spring off ebay. If they completely suck I would still have a chance of returning them to RockAuto.
I did find that it looked like the Moog spring could be special ordered with a two month lead time. Or at least it appeared so from their website.
The 880 isn't out of the running yet, but it doesn't look like there are any other options outside of the generic ebay stuff so unless I can find an OEM spring NOS somewhere I shouldn't have to ponder too much longer.

What did you end up going with? I'm in the same boat, and would like to hear how it turned out.

I've been distracted by other projects and haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm tempted to just put new shocks in it and leave the springs as is since it is sitting level. I know it needs shock at 170k miles, the rears were blown for sure.
