Guy's I need help with the decision. I know most are always for 4wd, and I really am considering it. The only reason Prerunners are staying in mind is spindle lifts. Which set up Perfectly in my mind. Would you look more into a 4wd with adjustable coilovers and achieve 3 inches or go prerunner and run maxtracs.. I'm not wanting a Drop bracket lift so no RCD/Procomp/Fabtech. Also If I run a front coilover set up, how could I run 4" inches??

The last one I had I did minimal offroad. I might need it for the lease just as a precaution. If I went with the Prerunner again I'd go with the offroad package just for the rear diff. But if there was a way to bring the front end of a 4wd up 4 inches I'd be much more pleased. I just don't stack lifts. lol

I'm probably going to as long as you keep your truck lol. Curious though if you run a spindle lift do you need extended front shocks for travel?? And can you run stock uca's with a spindle lift?

There's no way to get 4'' on a 4x4 unless it's solid axle or you do a drop bracket, which you could do a RCD 4.5" (?) lift and have good CV angles.

It sounds to me like it comes down to which is more practical for you.

If you're happier with 2wd and getting 4" of lift, go that route.
If you'd rather have 4wd option(security if you will) and less lift, go that route.

Whichever fits your wallet better and will be more useful/pleasing to you

I love my TRD O/R PreRunner though :D

You live in Floridaaaah, how often do you need 4WD. Are you willing to give up a few miles per gallon for the privilege of having it? Do you want potentially more maintenance and lubrication headaches?

4WD is great in the mountains or in the mud and snow but not needed under 98.5738556312% of the time. Decide accordingly.
