    Hey everybody,

Was really stoked to almost have purchased the RCI Skid Plate set but then realized that it's only for 4wd models. I have an 08 access cab 2wd and looking for a company that makes skid plates for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The front (IFS) skid from most companies will bolt right up. It's the mid/trans and transfer case skids that will cause you issues.

I have a full set of pelfreybilt skids on my 09 2.7L PreRunner. I had to make an extension to bridge the gap between the front skid and the mid skid- see pic below. Other than this they bolted right up.

That looks awesome, from what I know though, that company is no longer around unfortunately. I'll have to go with the IFS skid then. I appreciate the help

Yeah they are no longer around unfortunately. If you don't plan on going rock crawling, then just a front skid will probably serve you well. An aftermarket one will cover the oil pan and offer more protection. They're a big improvement over the stock one.

I have another question for you if you don't mind. So I ordered this prerunner style bumper, would the stainless skid plate in the front of the bumper replace the need for the IFS skid plate? Or does the IFS skid plate sit lower?
