Ok y'all, the time has come. Per recommendation, I am starting my own conversion thread. I have a 2012 PreRunner that I'll be converting to 4x4 with an FJ case and a stock 4x4 tranny. I'll be staying with single stick and doing the FJ ADD tune delete. The first 2 major parts came in this week. Also here is pic of my rig. Feel free to chime in with advice. I'm pumped.IMG_20191129_131729.jpg IMG_20200605_161041.jpg IMG_20200605_120200.jpg

There is a thread for the FJ tube stuff on here. It's pretty good I had to order a few bits I was missing and used the PNs listed. It's pretty cheap (in the grand scheme of things) to just get all new parts unless you find a FJ front diff assembly. It's going to be one fun build and set up.

Go to Raddesigns for the twin sticks hahaha naw in reality for just a single case I think twin sticks is over rated because F&R are not separate Hi/Lo.

@ChamYota and @ahspurlock did their 4x4 conversions. Adam can give you some good insight he's done at least 2.

Thanks bud. Yea, I ordered all of the PNs on that thread new. I'll end up putting them on a built front diff from ECGS and getting new hubs and CVs so might as well. All seems simple so I'm just waiting to see what goes wrong.

No. This will destroy your resale value, it will cost more than just selling it to buy a proper 4wd Taco, and it will be super unreliable.

I think that takes care of the typical TW responses.

You are also forgetting about the people that have never done it showing up to tell him how to do it.

Y'all are gonna be fun. Will never win on TW. And I'm the last person to argue 4x4 because I get through most everything now. BUT that one time I need it in the middle of nowhere im screwed. And it's fun, so Send It!

Thank God. If you weren't I wouldn't do it. @EatSleepTacos is supporting the conversion so I assume it's stupid but since YOU support it, I'm happy!

 I've done the swap. It's not too bad, 4wd (If we're being technical, 2wd) is nice to have.

Those who has never done it let alone seen it, with bad input shouldnt even be in here period.
