Let me start by saying that I AM converting my PreRunner over to 4x4, and throwing a 5spd as well. I got good deals on all the parts I needed and will do all the work myself.

My question is will a transfer case off a R151 tranny bolt up to a W59 tranny. That is the only part I do not currently have. Any input is appreciated , thanks.

I'm not gonna SAS it, for what I do the IFS will be fine. It's still me DD to, but if the day come when I get a new truck I'd look into swapping a HP 44 under it and if I did I'd 3 or 4 link it for sure.

    Cool.

When I began my build, I started with the usual list of goods, TC UCA's, Icon's, Deavers and so on. Contemplated the route you're going but decided to save a bit more and go with the SAS.

Others have been through your upcoming journey and in the end, SAS their trucks. Check out Slanders build. There are many more but his name comes to mind at the moment.

My only regret is that I could have saved 2.3K in the beginning and put that cash towards my SAS build. Not a problem though... I had many good times with what I had.

As a suggestion, go with an Inch Worm or Marlin gear drive TC. Good stuff there.
If you need a chain driven case... I'll hook you up on one if you need it.

    Good luck man.

Well, I may already have a stock t case from a Tacoma that a Friedan has. So far this swap is only costing me less than $1200. Gears and tires will add to that though. I think his t case came off of a r151 tranny and I was wondering if it will bolt to a w59. Thanks!
