Following this snippet from the FSM for the A750F. Are there any standards for what these should be, besides A+1mm?

If it’s out of spec, it could be covered with the warranty, depending on where you got it from.

This is from the A340E section. Why did they put a standard for this but not the A750F? 2C0C2E66-8140-4599-9587-AFA847464AE9.jpg

Bell housing bolts torqued down, trans mount almost bolted up, everything is spinning again:thumbsup:

I tried to approach the mounting process a little smarter this time, making sure to have the dowels fully mate with the holes before bolting. As a result this time around was way quicker. Having the bolts pull the transmission to the engine was probably a bad idea and it probably caused my issues. I used a pry bar on each side to move it in:

Good to hear! Yes I would say that was your issue. My trans was fully flush before I attempted any bolt

Side note: I forget you're in Hawaii and sometimes I’m like “why is this dude working on his truck at midnight?”

Front diff was leaking like a waterfall so I changed the seal yesterday. Not too bad getting the axle out without having to remove the axle nut. Almost ready to ride!

Just another tip from experience lol. Make sure your nice wire loom doesn’t touch the exhaust. Had my dash lights all working until they got shorted. I think the light got burnt out on the cluster

Just getting here now . I have read all 8 pages . You should always test fit the converter into the crankshaft before you attempt to install the transmission .
When you mount the torque converter into the back of the crankshaft , you should use emery cloth on the converter pilot and emery cloth the crankshaft ,then grease the hell out of the converter pilot before you position the transmission into place . Tacoma's have tight tolerances that need to be addressed before you attempt to position the transmission into place . If you draw in the right bellhousing bolt too much , you will break the trans pump . If you tighten the left bellhousing bolt too much , you will break the transmission pump . Once you get 2 bellhousing bolts snugged up , you need to verify that the converter will spin by hand . If the converter doesnt spin , you may have already busted the pump . As you tighten the bellhousing bolts , sneek your hand in where the starter mounts and continuously try to spin the torque converter by hand as you are bolting the trans to the motor . If the converter doesnt spin free , stop ! and re-seat the converter back into the transmission . The converter easily slips out a notch when you are lifting the trans into place
Looks like I am a little late ,,,,,Golly

    Thank you sir!
I hope it is not a timebomb! I took it out on the highway just now and no weird noises or loss of power. Feels like it did before, except the rumble of my chopped exhaust. Did a couple good pulls too. 4lo/hi works good from what I can tell.
