At least someone is taking a stand. La Raza is going to have a fit. The Mexican gov't has even decided to blast Arizona over this bill. Maybe they should take care of that little issue with the Cartels.

so i kinda looked at most of the bill, but i'm not smart enough to understand what most of it meant.

so sorry for the n00b question, but what exactly does this bill change?

is it just a more strict citizenship law?

The bill never would have been needed in the first place if the Feds would just do their job and enforce the existing laws on the books.

In related news, President Obama criticized Arizona’s tough immigration bill as irresponsible Friday and said his administration is examining whether it would violate civil rights.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100423/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_immigration

Leave it to a lib to think that the actual civil rights of legal U.S. citizens matters less than the implied civil rights of illegal aliens. It's easy to see where patriotism lies and where it doesn't.

It allows fines to be placed on businesses that hire illegals.

It allows police to check if you are here legally. Best way to avoid any problems if just have your ID/Drivers License with you.

Finally! Lets hope it spreads to other states now. Illegal is illegal, we shouldn't need a bill for this, but it's a step in the right direction.

Also it makes it illegal to hire day laborers off the side of the road or in front of HD/Lowes. They have to be somewhere else beside some type of road.

I better stick to the facts? Can you prove he sent out an email from a white supremacist group in 2006? Or did you just stumble upon that somewhere?

Better bring more than gossip/rumors to this discussion. Either way. This bill passed in the state I live in. If you don't like it, stay in your state. Thats the beauty of this Country.

ohh nice, if they're strict about enforcing the first part you mentioned, i think it could really cut down the incentive for a lot of illegals to cross the border.

could the police not check to see if you were a citizen before?
