    I've had poor luck with buying used tools here in AZ. The extreme hot and dry climate is not kind on tools people do not take care of and exterior appearances are not always a good indicator

    I've owned electric and gas. I'd say get the gas. An oil change once a year and the occasional spark plug/air filter are needed, but that's no biggie IMO. Not being tied to a cord is nice.

    Lowe's has an 8.5 HP Briggs powered Troy-Bilt (2800 PSI) for $249. Great deal. Been using it for all sorts of things the past month or so. Nice to go back to gas. :thumbsup:

    I bought a pressure washer last night from Home Depot. It is a Ryobi with a Honda motor and 2800 PSI (gas power). It has a separate container for cleaner (bleach) or soap, and several nozzles that regulate the spray intensity. It was $300 on sale. What really pushed me over the fence was Honda motor at that price.

    Edit: I also looked at the Troy Built ones but they had spotty reviews. Who knows?! They may be great pressure washers. Like I said, the Honda motor pushed me over the fence. Mine may be a total lemon but that is what I bought.

    I have a hand pump sprayer and can use it for bleach water. In fact, that is all it has ever had in it. Seems using it to spray the bleach water then using the pressure washer for the clean rinse is the more time efficient method anyway. Thanks for the heads up. TW is awesome!

    The simpson models from home Depot look to be pretty damn good. Same engine and design of my 15 year old Excell 2800.

    Runs great. Started on the first pull.
    Cleaned the cedar fences and driveway and made use of the soap tank.
    Hose isn't all that great.

    You are tied to a hose, so a cord is no big deal. Again that Troybuilt is a total piece of shit!!! Do a one minute search on Google and read the reviews.

    Most all newer models introduce bleach/soap/chemicals after the pump under low pressure only.

    Someone borrowed mine and ran bleach in it. Ate the hell out of the metal connections on the inside of the hose. $150 later and him buying a new gun also it's running fine.

    Mine pulls after the pump.

    Bought the $70 Harbor Freight model. Even bought the 2 year protection plan figuring it wound crap out quickly. But the darn thing just keeps running great.

    Snugtop cab high canopy.
    I've had excellent results from Harbor Freight, when I need tools I go there.

    HF ratcheting box wrenches look better than my SK brand and they have a lifetime warranty.

    If your budget allows, I strongly suggest a Honda engine with a CAT pump. Regardless of whether you choose an electric or gasoline powered unit, get the CAT pump. CAT pumps are awesome, but keep up on the preventative maintenance and do not allow water to freeze in it.
