A garden hose. Pressure washers will damage the paint, especially if used incorrectly

Been using one for 6+ years. Electric 1800psi, can't remember the brand. Works perfect. By the time I'm done rinsing before hand wash the dirt is mostly gone.
    Highly recommend getting one.

I’ve been using a 2000 psi sunjoe electric one that has been getting the job done well.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I see no issue if you use an electric one with lower psi, especially when coupled with a soap gun.

I'd never touch my truck with my bigger pressure washer though... 13hp 4,000 psi 3.5gpm. Would blow through paint, metal, tires, etc.

I use a 2800 psi Ryobi with Honda engine , mated with a Simple Chuck dual canister deionizer. Works awesome no paint damage, and I get close with the nozzle. Simple Chuck is expensive at $400, but it works great eliminating spots from the terrible hard water here in AZ.

Any electric pressure washer is fine. Gas is fine as well plenty of people use them in the detail industry.

IMO gas is overkill and paying for gas is a huge downfall as prices are increasing.

I’m assuming you want a pressure washer for a foam cannon?

Have a gas powered for house and got me an electric one on Amazon for cars. Then i got a pistal grip and got rid of that long arm that comes with it. Works awesome and especially with a foam cannon.

Figured. If it’s electric, make sure it’s a cannon built for the lower psi.

Tip don’t fall for the expensive foam cannons. AFAIK and YouTube the Amazon cheaper models do just fine. There’s modification to a foam cannon you can do it costs like 8-12 bucks if you research it to produce crazy foam/suds.

I have the chemical guys for the electric and does a damn good job buts it’s expensive (didn’t know at the time). All the foam cannons are the same just priced up for the name of the company.

That being said....don’t fall for the gimmick of “omg it’s produces an extreme amount of foam and sits on your paint for 10-15min” I don’t believe anymore of the idea that the soap somehow lift up dirt...its there for lubrication to pick up dirt from a wash mitt without scratching your paint.

As long as it sits on your paint for a couple of mins it’s fine...You can just powerwash with just water and get the bulk of the dirt off and achieve the same results. Just my opinion though.

If you wanna save money but an aerator. That’s what I did. More efficient and cost effective. It gets old putting together the powerwash and foam cannon.

    This.

Paid $129 on Amazon. Looks like the price point moves but you can still get it for about that. Works perfectly.

I have a Karcher Follow Me 1800psi electric. Love it for washing the truck!
It has four wheels, with two of them on casters, so you just pull it behind you.

I took Oscolivar1's advice and bought a Chapin foam aerator for $ 40 off of Amazon. I bought a gallon of inexpensive Zip Wax car wash from WalMart, filled up the aerator, set the dilution ratio to '3' and went to town washing both cars. This worked really well: lot of thick suds on the cars, I washed with the microfiber sponge, and then I disconnected the hose nozzle via the quick-release on the aerator to rinse. Much, much easier than dragging out the SunJoe electric pressure washer, getting everything hooked up, and using the foam cannon.

I just picked up a ryobi 2000psi electric power washer from Home Depot for $179. It’s perfect for washing the truck and using a foam cannon I wouldn’t even consider a gas one.

I have been using something similar for the last 11 years on my 07 taco and everyone thought my paint looked brand new when I traded it in a few weeks back. It works well.

Definitely do NOT get a Karcher K2 Ergo. I am baffled by how poorly designed all the fittings are and how much it leaks. I wish I could return it but I started using it past the deadline on Amazon.

I had a couple of Karchers (gas and electric) over the years. The proprietary hoses/wands/accessories were a pain in the rear end. They were expensive and difficult to locate. When I gave away the last Karcher and went with the SunJoe electric, using standard connectors, hoses, wands and accessories was a paramount consideration for me. It is much easier dropping by the local Lowe's/Home Depot/Farm and Fleet to pick up a connector, brush or the like.
