The one you almost died on? Or the one @presta24, @16Tacos, @beertimecontinuum, and @dirty deeds all drug ourselves up and then turned around on?

That's gotta be it then. I think I remember someone saying that Carb Hill was just on the other side of the creek once we got over that rock in the way. Maybe we can find a path through the creek instead?

I think Everett tried and didn't think anyone else would make it up the creek

You can't go up the creek. Once you pass the hill that was slick and you 4 climbed to come back down, you make it to the widow maker. Pretty sure Carb hill is the way a few of us were going to the right up the hill where a few others wanted to turn around and not proceed forward. There's a bypass way to the right that bypasses carb hill (Where we wheeled Friday night).

    That's exactly where we were!

Widow maker looks SKETCHY as shit! Let's try it! Looks like it goes on to show Tombstone as well, and other obstacles. None of us are setup to rock crawl though.

I see bent metal. Lots of bent metal. And sad people without sliders.

I see the challenge of taking on that end of the trail.

I do NOT see me trying that at this moment. I'm getting sliders before Harlan. Maybe after that....No plans on doing major damage just for the hell of it. This is why I'm interested in entering from the south end. Get to Carb Hill, then do a 180....Live to fight another day. Don't let me change group plans, but if the plan includes the stretch shown in the video, I'm out. Just not equipped at this time.

    If there's a bypass.....

I remember carb hill from 1985. Pictures look like the rocks are worn a bit rounder on the edges now. I climbed it then in a 6 cylinder/3-speed manual Jeep CJ7 with 35" gumbo mudders. It's not ridiculously steep, just hard to maintain momentum because of all the ledges.

    May try it.....who knows

    Hell no on widowmaker.

I'm telling you guys, we can get through that mudfest up the hill we turned around at on Friday (not the place I almost died- the place where half of us went up the hill and the other half stayed in the creek). Especially if it's dry

Oh yea! That's the spot where you guys said trucks would drag on rocks, right?

Right there's a fork at the top and one way is rock hell and would be really technical. The other way was a bunch of deep mud with one semi technical rock bit at the end I think we could all manage
