No, its not legal. You cant use leathal force unless life is in danger, rape, or arson. Of course, this veries state to state. In Texas, I think you can shoot them. In CA, you have to make sure they are comfortable and can axcess you cats easilly. Here in AZ, as long as you pee your pants, you can shoot them. :)

In Georgia it is legal. If you feel your life is in danger you can shoot the bastards. Recently on the news, a guy shot some thieves breaking into a house next door. He called the police & told the police to send someone. The police asked if he was in danger. He said he was going to shoot them if the police didn't hurry (all this was on the 911 tape). Then you hear the guy go outside, the 911 operator telling him to stay in his house. Next you hear a couple of shotgun blasts. One thief dead, one seriously injured. The guy did not get charged with anything. He told the police he felt his life was in danger.

Also in Kennesaw Ga. It is illegal NOT to own a firearm. You can even carry your weapons on your person (with a permit).

I had a friend that had someone trying to break into her house, while she was home. She cocked her shotgun and the person ran away. The police officer told my friend "make sure when she shoots him that he falls inside the house. If he doesn't drag him in across the threshhold."

When the F!@#ing idiot emerges from under your truck with the saws-all then you shoot him. You were threatened with the saws-all; case closed (except in California of course)

I had my cat stolen off of my 99 Tacoma while I was at a Mariners game. The poor bastard sounded horrible all the way home.
My insurance (Farmers) refused to replace the cat with an OEM one, and I got a tinny sounding aftermarket piece of garbage instead.
The OEM cat costed 3 times more than the garbage one.
