I sometimes try to park next to cars that look really well taken care of. I'm hoping that they will be a little more careful and considerate when opening doors. That being said, I'd love a pair of sliders...

My wife got a nasty door ding at work one day on her Subaru. The next week she hit a deer so we took it in to the body shop to get the deer damage fixed and asked them to pop out the ding. They fixed the ding and you can't even see where it was.

What I'm trying to say if it really bothers you you can get it popped out but I don't know how much it costs to have it done since they just hooked us up.

I've been thinking about sliders or steps for the same reason.

If it were just me, I'd go with the Sliders. My wife and other people find it hard getting into the truck, I think something with a step would be better..... anyone have a good solid step bar that looks good? Do they stop doors from hitting you?

I really like the look of the AVID steps they are like nfab's only better IMHO. Just don't know if they would offer the protection. Also on a stock height truck I worry about them being a little low. Was told they would hang down about 5" can anyone confirm this?
