OP got his feelers bent pointing out garage was the best solution; guess it’s a sore subject. I dunno, trading for an EV would be my next one. No gas to worry about.

Huh? When did I comment on using a garage?
I implied that your suggestion to move somewhere nicer was the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Asinine, really. But I said nothing about a garage and neither did you. Seems like you kind of like to rewrite history to better suit your needs, doesn’t it?

You’re kind of a nut, aren’t you? I commented on your suggestion to move to a “nice place with less crime”. Nothing about garages there at all.

Do we think that thieves know these tanks are plastic and therefore much more quiet to drill into?

Maybe a skid that wraps up the sides a bit would help, if they drill the side of the tank above the skid then at least it would not be completely emptied.

They could make the bottom of the gas tank with a tempered material that will shatter and just splatter everywhere on them.

But we need top men to work on it

Yeah, you’d lose a lot more when they drill your battery!

But then they’ll drill your batteries and steal the battery juice.

Still get a hole in the tank- 1st gen OR skids do exactly that- mine was drilled half way up so I didn’t know there was a hole until I filled up the tank.

    It was a good joke…
But you know one day someone will probably do it and it’ll be on the news.

Go collect a pile of dog-sh*t and shovel it under the truck. Ain't nobody gonna crawl into that.

I’ve seen delivery trucks parked over cinder block rectangles built on the pavement,,, presumably to ward off fuel and catalytic theft.

Gotta go with the lights especially motion sensor. And agreed re parking somewhere lit, I attempt to find that spot as best I can even if it's a little more walking.

In theory that is easier and such. In reality, there's always people out there looking for the quick buck.

Garaging isn't always an option anyway, I would reckon if it was at your current residence you would already be doing so.

I have a garage and the door clearance is not enough to get either my truck or my wife's Rav4 in. Old houses have old house problems.

I plan to park my truck in the shop on a bed of glass shards and thumbtacks.
