Hi all, bought my Tacoma a couple years ago. I finally got around to changing out some awful side steps the previous owner put in, which aren't even for a Tacoma. I just realized they must have drilled holes into the frame to mount the steps. Can somebody tell me if this is a big deal or not? Pics below

    The ugly side step

Rear passenger mount. The three holes on the frame are where a side step is SUPPOSED to be mounted...

Front mount. Bolts had nuts I just removed them

Rear driver's side, everything removed. Those two holes shouldn't be there.

New headlights installed and side step removed

Frame integrity wise, shouldn't be a big deal.

I do see a few spots of rust, though, so you'll want to address that - and make sure the drilled holes are cleaned up/painted so they don't start rusting.
