Previous truck before your 3rd Gen?

What did you own before your 3rd gen Tacoma?

My first was a Mazda B2300, so basically a Ford Ranger. Then it was an extended cab F150, Dodge Dakota, Dodge Ram, and finally a Ford F150 regular cab.

I am on my 5th Tacoma with a few cars thrown in the middle that I will never speak of.

 

1988 Toy LB. I'd still have it, but years ago the window got replaced, apparently badly, because the bezel rusted out 3/4 of the way around. I found this out when I put my hand on the windshield and it damn near popped out of the frame! It had some other issues (tranny, driveline, carburetion), so I gave it to my nephew.

Just replaced it with the same model in 2017.

 

My '17 AC Sport MT 4x4 is my 59th vehicle. My previous truck is a '92 S-10 extended cab. I still have it, it's gone on to farm duty. Prior was an '02 Sierra 1500 5.3 X cab 6" Susp, 35"'s, '95 F-150 300 I6 4x2, '99 Silverado 1500, '88 F-250 460 on 40"'s w/ '91 S-10 2.5 4x2 as it's fuel efficient partner, '86 C-10, '02 F-150 Lariat, '76 K30, '77 K-10 on 38"'s, '84 F-250 4x2 351M 4bbl 4 spd (best $50 I ever spent, I loved that truck), '03 Dakota (Worst $20,000 I ever spent), '64 C-10 283/3 on the tree, '92 Toyota 4x4 22RE 5 speed (2" lift 32x11.50r15), '53 GMC 3100 283/4 spd. That covers the trucks...

 

2000 chevy silverado 1500 2wd with 3 doors. great truck.

 

I had a '14 Wrangler Unlimited and an '04 A4 before the Tacoma, but the truck before was a bubble gen '01 F-150. Loved that truck, wish I still had it.

 

My first truck was a 1977 Toyota plain jane (think SR without the S or the R), my second truck was a 1983 Nissan 4x4 extra cab, my third truck was a 1994 Dodge Dakota Club Cab, my fourth truck was a 1984 Toyota 4x4 Xtra Cab, and my fifth truck is my 2017 4x4 Tacoma Access Cab. Did I mention I like trucks!

'04 Double Cab Prerunner - did several minor mods some of which are slated for my 2017

I was 2nd owner, every PM done timely, added tube steps, fogs, bed lights, tonneau, OPt7 tailgate bar, underseat lighting, Kenwook (IIRC) HU with backup camera, retrofit red LED lights for guages, climate controls, glovebox, consol armrest, and rear storage box

Prior trucks were 2000 Extnd cab Sonoma (worst truck I ever owned) replaced by 04 taco, 1990 Nissan replaced with Chevy Tracker, 1978 Chevy Scottsdale with HD tow package and plate rear bumper replaced by 650 Shadow (my DD) and Corsica (for the wife and newborn son)

I just traded a 2015 Nissan Frontier SV 4 dr 4x4 with 32k miles and picked up this beauty...2017 TRD Off Road
$37650 for the TRD , trade of $19500
(owed $9300) .... I played it cool at the dealership but once I drove away

 

I had a 93 Ford Ranger (daily driver), and a 92 Ford Ranger (offroad play truck). Then I got an 03 Ford Sport Trac (I know, not a truck)... All of these were 300k+ miles when I got rid of them, and all had minimal fixes done.

Then a car cause family.. and now the 17 Tacoma (cause the car was the wrong choice).

I also got my dad's 2000 V10 F250 when he passed.

 

A 6 month old 2015 Chebby Colorado, Silver Ice Metallic , 2WD, V6.

 

2014 F150 FX2. Still miss it a little for the space and the engine.

 

Previous truck was/is (still have it) a 2012 Silverado crew cab 2WD. It's been a really good truck. My wife and I were SUV shopping late last year. While we were looking at Highlanders, I spotted the Tacomas and thought they were cool AF. She ended up buying her Highlander in February and I was jelly, so I bought the Taco a couple of months after.

Started with a old Volvo (hand me down from dad), then Plymouth K car, to a Chevy Cavalier, VW Fox, Salvage Title Jeep Cherokee Sport (LOVED IT, but it smelled), to 95 Yota pickup, 2009 Taco AC to 17 Taco Sport. Adding my wifes cars, when I met her, fixed (Bondo) Tercel that I taught her to drive in, to a VW Golf, to VW new beetle, to VW Passat Wagon to Suby Outback.
