Working on a deal on a 2010 (currently sharing a vehicle with the wife) and I'm not sure about price. I've been quoted $30,695 out the door on the following truck:

    2010 Double Cab 4x4 Auto
    TRD Off Road
    Upgraded Stereo (not JBL)
    Tow Package
    Bed Mat
    Daytime Running Lights

According to USAA MSRP is $31,700
    " " " Invoice is $29,818

I think I should be able to get it for less?

    See build thread.
i got mine for 27,9k before ttl. otd was around your quoted price.

2010 double cab 4x4 off road. tint and aftermarket skid were included.

I don't know what they are asking in florida but in AZ sticker price is like 32-33k. Id say me getting close to 5k off sticker is pretty good.

    Used or new?

I just got a used 2010 DC TRD Sport with JBL, Bluetooth, backup camera, towing package, daytime running lights, and running boards with only 1,100 miles for $26k.

If it's used I'd say you could get them lower, if it's new...that sounds like a good deal out the door TT&L included.

Check out Edmunds.com. You can tell it all the options and your zip code and it will tell you what local people paid. Mine had a sticker price of $20,965.00 (regular cab, 4x4). I got it for $18,400 plus tax and tags. Edmunds claimed $18,600 which I fought for a while to get them down to. Then it was about 9:30 and they wanted to close the store and the deal. They asked what it would take and I told them $18,200. We met in the middle. Never be afraid to push them further. They need to sell cars and will do anything to do it. If worse comes to worse, go to another dealer.

Never go off the sticker price, not even the "invoice" listed on the sticker because it is padded with dealer incentives and hold backs. Go to edmunds.com or kbb.com to find out the true dealer invoice and start dealing from there.

X2 on checking Edmunds. Get the TMV price with the options the truck has and don't pay a dime more. Take it in with you. If they won't deal, go to another dealer. This is the price people are actually paying for the vehicle. I would ignore KBB, it is not accurate and used by the dealer to rip you off. Go at the end of the month if you can. You may need to walk a couple of times, the dealer will always want to do the "dance" and see if they can get more out of you. Believe me if they want to sell a car tell them you are going to another dealer and walk and your phone will be ringing.

Can't compare otd prices as what's included in "otd" varies by dealer, city, state, etc. TT&L is not the same everywhere. Only comparison is vehicle cost by itself (against invoice, Edmunds, etc.), then you need to look at what's included in "otd" to ensure they're not tacking on other BS charges.

Prices are dictated by location, demand, the desire of the salesperson, sales tax, etc.
there will always be someone who got a better deal than you.
If you think you can get it for cheaper, go for it
but comparing prices from all over the states is not going to help you much.

should be at or below invoice right now. If you go through Costco you would pay $500 over the invoice price.

You should get 2-3K off MSRP sticker on a new 2010 Tacoma DC 4x4.

I got mine AT invoice...but paid a 500 dollar "dealer fee"...so essentially the dealer made 500 bucks on my deal.

He also gave me 650 dollars of hold back to make my numbers work to where I wanted them, as I had a trade.

Price it out on one of the links from zag.com. If it's cheaper than what they are offering you can at least use that as leverage.

Watch out for the Costco deal. I found that they were only $500 over the invoice that the dealer wants you to see. I got the dealer down $1,000 from the deal I could get through Costco. Unfortunately I think it's just a gimmick.
