I would like to get a realistic view of what this truck might sell for. It's on a dealer lot, so we have to think of their markup, even if we'd rather not.

2015 Toyota Tacoma 4WD Double Cab Cab V6 SR5 - $32,950. Mileage 56,216, Exterior color Silver Sky Metallic. Midwest Location

One Owner. Looks cared for by a very middle aged owner. Chrome side steps look like they were put in early, and the driver's seat doesn't have that sag from sliding in w/o a sidestep. Satellite, Backup Camera. Tonneau cover is worn but serviceable. Great tires. Overall, I would rate it in Very Good condition.

Not Excellent, because it was a Massachusetts truck and it did weather some. BUT I had a moving blanket with me that I was able to get under the truck and look. It's damn nice for a snow belt vehicle.

his information from a CarFax report: New Front Brake Job by Dealer - Brake Lines Bled - by Dealer, New Battery by Dealer.

First conversation, dealer will drop to 31,950. They also have a $500 'Document Fee" (monkey business charges! but they're there)

    Questions, Comments?
What is a one owner vehicle worth to you?

Is it a short bed? If so, I would pass.

If the truck made the moved from the NE to the MW, the frame is probably rusted pretty good. Nobody in their right mind would get rid of 2015 Tacoma with a clean frame.

I had a moving blanket with me and I could crawl under the truck. Not rusted badly at all!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I’d buy a new 2.7 2wd AC but that’s just me. Good luck!

It's the mystique of the 2nd generation bullet-proof engine. Second generations are still fully repairable w/o having to have a tech reset the BCM or other sillyness when parts are replaced.
Manual dials on climate controls on are actually nicer. The truck is 2yrs, newer than my car, and 30K less miles. One owner like myself. Interior is not sagging.

Our new ‘23 SR V6 4x4 Double Cab was within a few hundred dollars of that, though I bought Duratracs for it immediately. It’s another route to consider. I’ve only got 8K on it, but I’ve never found anything it’s missing that I regret not having. Great truck.

Excuse me Sir, I'm new and don't know if I should have my sarcasm filter on. 8yr old truck for MSRP, you would consider a great price or ??

Anywhere under 25k. Don’t care what the “market” says. You can get a new one for 35-7. With a warranty….

Is that the truck you want? What it’s worth to someone else might be different to what it’s worth to you.

I’ve been around the car business a lot lately and the fact that they discounted it $1,000 is a pretty big deal. $500 doc fee is ridiculous. Most I see are $250 to $350 and not all dealerships have one but most do.

I like the 2nd gen better than the 3rd gen personally. So the argument of getting a newer one for more money doesn’t appeal to me. If I liked the truck and it was the right one and I could afford it I would see if they would wave the doc fee… :spending:

5 years from now you won’t think of the money anymore but you’ll love your truck for many years to come!

All this is my personal and unprofessional opinion.

It is disgusting how f**ked the used car market is. Just bought a 2011 with 102k for 20k. 12 year old car, for the price of my traded in 2017 Honda CRV EX.

I burned the midnight oil last night reading pages of the 2nd gen vs. 3rd generation threads. One was 14 pages loog!. It's not like there's a unified agreement. Lots of guys here argue for the older truck.

There are some compelling arguments here for the 2nd gen. If you like manual controls, if you like your torque down lower, and there's some years of the 3rd generation with a whole passle of recalls. . .

Where did you order your midnight oil? With three toddlers running around, I’m almost out.

I've got a 2015 TRD Offroad with 91k miles on it I'm seriously considering selling. It has some lift mods and armor on it but most of the armor and RTT would be coming off if I'm selling it if you're interested. I'd let it go for much less than 32k lol.
