So it looks like I'll need a long handle 17mm open end wrench to hold the cam and a 24mm offset wrench or socket for the bolt?

Sorry for all the questions :D. Is the reason a normal socket and torque wrench won't work because the camshaft bolt sits at or below the lip of the cylinder head? I have a set of crowsfoot that looks like the one in the attached pic. Would that work?

Yes, and such a crowfoot (17mm) will work to torque it back down but not for removal because it will probably shear and then you get to fish all the bits out of your motor

For the other guys who are looking, I just found the 17mm offset tool on ebay. Apparently, they're made for Mercedes Benz engine mount bolts.

    It's DLX son!
I just installed my second set of cam gears on my new truck last night. Was my first time pulling the TRD supercharger so with that learning curve it took about as long as the first time around.

Like someone earlier in the thread suggests, I used a ratchet strap from the closed end of the 24mm wrench over to the driver side coil bucket area to help with counter holding the cam while loosening the bolt. Still kept a hand on it though and tried to hold it as still as possible. For leverage on the 17mm wrench I used a ~2ft scrap of shallow unistrut I had from another project - worked a treat.

All that being said, anyone want my OEM gears at a discount? I can send 'em in to Kelby if you want to still get in on this GB.
