I have an opportunity to get an 01-04 Center console for $175. That is for the Center console and the automatic shifter cover. Is this a good price? My truck is A 5 speed so I would need to sell that cover. I am going to be painting it black if I get it. The only down side is that it doesn't have the bracket. So should I buy it or not? Is there anything I should know about painting the top of it? I think I saw someone on here that has painted one. And lastly how much should I expect to get from that cover. Thanks for any help

Yea, I wish I could find something like that. Do you have any idea what a driver side bucket seat should go for?

    $175 and no bracket?

    No thank you.

I know they're hard to come by but if you remain patient you will find a MUCH better deal

I ended up paying $55 for the center console/cup holder assembly (not shifter trim - didn't need it)

Are you looking to buy just a driver's side bucket seat or looking to sell one?

For starters it's going to be hard to find or either convince a seller to sell one seat... usually come in a pair.

For reference I sold my Tacoma bucket seats that had 160,000 miles on them, with no brackets (I hacked them off to put on my new seats) for $85.

I helped 45acp sell his 60/40 seats with no seat belt receivers for $100+

I'd imagine you can find a nice pair of bucket seats for around $100. Or sell a single bucket seat for $50 or less :notsure:

I think I paid $75ish for my 01-04 center console. I would say they are pretty rare to find but I got mine rather quick. It's up to you if you think that price would be worth it. But then again, that is pretty high.

I looked for a center console for months so I could get rid of my bench seats. A buddy of mine found me a center console from a '99 at a junkyard for only $19. Only downside if the cupholders are square...

Thanks this helped so much. One last question how different is the color from the gray 2001-2004 console and my interior (98 blue/gray). My dad has kinda talked me out of painting the console because I am most likely selling it once I get out of college and he thinks it will sell better if it stock and not spray painted. Or should I just paint it anyways? Thanks

Not sure on the difference between the two eras.

But you can do a nice dye/paint job on the console/shift trim/shift boots and have it look like it came from the factory that way.
