    Hello fellow Tacoma enthusiasts,

I wanted to find out what everyone thought about pricing. I live in LA and searched around for a while for the best deal I could find. This is my second Tacoma, my first being a 4 cylinder 2007 SR5 with an access cab. I unfortunately had to get rid of that one for financial reasons but ended up in a management position in the hospitality field, and a Tacoma seemed perfect for my job and its my ideal car. After going through at least 15+ dealerships in my area, I found one through the Costco program who would order one for me custom, and I wanted to make sure I was getting a good price. What I chose to get was a Tacoma SR5, Double Cab, 4X2, V6 (This time around) with a Tonneau cover. After Delivery, taxes, fees, OTD price I was quoted $33.5k. I would like to hear opinions related to cost, and am not interested in opinions related to the build I chose, you may need 4x4 I however do not. Thank you kindly I look forward to hearing from you!

That's actually a good price. I have pretty much the same thing (SR5, Double cab, Short bed, 4x2, tonneau cover included and a exhaust tip) and paid a little bit more than you OTD here in San Diego. Bought back in June.

How does it compare to the other 14 quotes you got?

Well thats good to know, that is pretty much my build excluding the exhaust tip. With the invoice price being much lower, the price seemed a little steep so I wanted to make sure, even factoring in the delivery and such.

IMO, it might be a little bit easier to compare prices without tax, title, and loan as everywhere is different. Our sales tax is 10%, where some places will be more or less. I paid almost $34,000 OTD, but the sale price before TT&L was $29,900. DCSB SR5 4X4 V6 with tow. I would get the tow package regardless..... that's one thing that is worth it even if you don't tow.

Yes Ibelieve that is included as part of the tonneau cover package, ($1300 MSRP for both) but with the V6 you either take the tonneau cover with the tow package or nothing.

I don't know if this helps, but I have the same truck [SR5 DCSB 4x2 V6 w/ Tow PKG] (minus the tonneau cover & it's a 2016) and I was offered $29K OTD last month. I know taxes vary different by state so that's also a differentiating factor.

If you include the fact that you have a cover, and taxes are relatively higher in CA vs TX, and it's the latest gen, I'd say your deal is good.

I think you can get tow without tonneau (or you could in 2016)..... the "build" page on Toyota's website doesn't actually let you build your dream truck. It only allows you to build from the stock related to the zip code you put in. I had to figure this out earlier this year. It's weird. Everyone else lets you build your truck.

Go to toyota and build the truck how you want it and see what price you come up with....You can forgo certain options that are not "necessary" and come out with a decent price. I built a 2017 Sport the way I wanted it and I believe it came too $35k - gray, 4x4, DCSB, Tow Package, V6, Auto, Premo wheels, no mats, no sun roof.

I have a 2016 SR5 4x2 Double Cab. Tow package and appearance package. OTD I paid a little less than 35k, before tax etc. right at $30,500. That's in Florida, so I'd say you're doing pretty well if that's a California price.
