I've got an 05 DC with OME 885's on the front. I just added a bumper and bought some 886's to handle the extra weight. The local shop want $340 to swap out the coils. I know the coils have to be compressed, but $340 seems much too high.
Any opinions on how much I should be paying for this work?

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
You can do it yourself. Use the weight of the truck as the compressor. Myself and many others have done it this way. There are YouTube videos floating around that show how to do it.

It is not hard at all. Two floor jacks, some jack stands and tools is all you need.

Yah I've seen those videos and that is what I'm planning on doing. I was just looking for some validation that the shop's price was too high.
    Thanks for your reply
