Oh for sure, BAT is ridiculous.

But I doubt the OP is going to be asking $10k either (though not sure).

He's actually wanting to price it fairly hence asking here.

Lol you sound like me, Ida said 50 bucks, but in all seriousness kwikvette is correct. I've been on the other side of sellers asking outrageous prices for vehicles that aren't worth the ride to look at. I'd be happy to sell it to a fellow taco fan for a fair price. In the neck of the woods people are asking 5k plus for rotted frame tacomas.

What is the mileage. Newer motor or no miles are a big deal with perceived value.

If you're sub 150k and truck is as nice as you say, I think you could be firm at $7,500. Especially, here in Denver. Maybe 8-9k here. Location is a big deal too.

If you are 200k+ on miles your probably looking at closer to $5k for that.

All that said, prices being what they are (going down at the moment, I think), you could have 300k miles, zero leaks, 100% mechanical condition, etc and you could get $15k from some crazy person.

You never know in this market. I paid $12k for an 03 Miata 6 months ago. But it only had 24k miles on it.

    Good luck with your sale.

Let us know what you get for it.

Clean goes a long way in car sales. Take the time to vacuum the interior, polish the headlights, clean the engine bay and take as many pictures of everything as you can. I don’t think asking $7500 firm is a bad way to go, especially in New England with a clean frame.

Unless you sell it to me. Then it’s only worth like $3k.

Low mileage first gen Tacoma's are still going for crazy money !!!

I bought my 2002 Tacoma 4 door pre runner six years ago with only 48k miles on the odometer for $11k from the original owner when I lived in Socal . I even have the original window sticker and maintenance records

It has a 3rz 4cyl with a dealer installed TRD supercharger , header and it has a 2" rancho lift on 265's

It now has only 84k miles on it and I'm constantly being asked by mechanics or others if I want to sell it . The funny thing is they ask how much are you willing to sell and I say $10k minimum but its not for sale and they tell me that's very reasonable price !!!

    180000 on motor.
The only thing I want to do to it is replace the steering rack, and re connect the sway bar.

Been there. Sold my Supra last year and recently sold my SC400. I do not envy you - selling stuff on FB is a giant pain in the ass.

Looking at 1st gen regular cabs with 4WD on cargurus, yours would be tied for the lowest price. There's only 22 on that site in your configuration across the entire country. $7500 is priced to sell IMO. Especially if yours is a rust free example in New England. If I ever sell mine it's going up on Cars and Bids. People hate on the auction websites, but I'm not going to lose any sleep maximizing the sale value of something I own.
