I'm considering replacing my Taco and looking for some insight from anyone who's recently bought/sold/traded one since KBB isn't always very accurate for these.

    Specifically, mine's a 2012 TRD Sport 4x4 access cab w/ 6MT. I've added a 2" suspension lift.

Need more info like mileage, factory options, condition......I'd guess its worth $20,000-$25,000 depending on the answers.

You should check local listings to see what the asking price is on comparable trucks local to you.

I was offered $24,890 last week at an Audi dealer for my 2015 TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB with 24,000 miles on it. Of course I walked out.

Just bought a 2007 Double Cab TRD Sport with 103,000 miles and some nice aftermarket goodies for 18k. If i bought a stock truck for 1500 less i would have spent WAY more in all the bumpers, wheels tires, lights, ect that are already on it.

Update for anyone who's curious: I got $17.2k on trade-in.

    2012 Access Cab
    55k miles
    TRD Sport
    6MT
    2" suspension lift
Factory wheels w/ bad tires & no TPMS
    Cracked front bumper
    Cracked both mirror covers
    Dime-sized chip in windshield

I think that was a pretty fair price, all things considered. It'll cost probably $2k to get it back into clean shape and then sell for probably about $23k. They pocket $3k, I save $1.5k on sales tax for my new car and don't have to deal with the headache of selling it myself.

Obviously that’s how dealers make money. You’d be surprised how many folks would accept that just to avoid the hassle of selling it outright and dealing with people via Craigslist, auto trader etc...
