    I have access to one of those tools from work.
    I'm not going to use the plusnuts at all. I'm going to use regular steel nontwist rivet nuts, and lock them in from the inside with washers and nylock nuts. Since I'm removing the headliner it will be easy. I'll be a lot happier not dealing with the plusnuts, they have my number. Thanks again for your help.

    If you're going to go through the trouble of dropping the headliner, you could just use stainless nuts and bolts with washers as a cheaper alternative. But it's your call.

    Not looking to good for me. No way to drill for the rear mount. Airbags run from the dash to the rear window. The bags and the brackets for the bags are right up against the channel in the rear right where i need to drill. Good thing I dropped the headliner. Even in I moved the bags to drill and install the nuts there wouldn't be room for the screws. I don't really want to move the airbags. Any ideas?

    We had that issue with the center mounts. The airbags were right up against the channel and we had to be super careful drilling those holes. We had just enough room to wedge the airbags to the side and drill the hole and get the rivnut in. If you feel like the hardware might be an issue, perhaps a shorter fastener would help. The bolts only need to catch the threads of the rivnut to be secure, anything past that is unnecessary. Since you're using different hardware im not sure if that will work for you in the same way, but a visual might help us come up with a solution. Maybe post a picture of the clearance issue?

    Oh wow, that is tight. When we did ours, I started by drilling a small pilot hole and slowly moved up in size with a unibit checking for clearance each time I sized up the hole. I don't exactly remember but I believe that there is the slightest amount of clearance there behind the sheet metal and the airbags. So other than saying your prayers and going slow from the top, the only thing I can think of would be to try to find a way to move the bracket/bag. Is there any way to remove the bracket temporarily or otherwise get it out of harms way?

    It's possible, but with the nut sticking down after install, ( will stick down as much as a plusnut) not sure I'll be able to get everything back in place. Then get all the plastic pieces back on properly. I'm kind of at a loss as what to do. Don't want to drill only to find out it won't work. This sucks.

    Thanks. I'm going to install the soundproof stuff tonight and keep looking at it. I haven't totally given up yet. How much strength do you think I would loose if I only used one bolt in the back mount? I would loose the front screw in the back mount. Just thinking.

    You actually wouldn't loose too much strength. Once everything else is bolted in, it all braces against itself and is really sturdy. IMO, You should be fine missing just the one.

    Just curious around were it actually mounts in the channel and the overall look. I saw in another post where some one installed one of these on an access cab and it looked a little funky. From the pic I saw of yours it looked great just wanted to verify.

    EDIT: I'm was thinking of where some one put a front runner rack on an access cab looking funky. Not the Prinsu.
