    Could probably gut a nail gun for just about everything you need, trigger, ported cylinder, piston, air feed. It's not like there aren't a zillion of them around.

    Nail guns are pretty short travel though, a double actiong cylinder sleeved in the launch tube might work and be simple enough to fabricate. That way the high pressure drive cylinder doesn't get contaminated by the spud rounds and you can drill the barrel behind the spuds to let air in and not lose power to suction.
