Uh, ok. Back when I was in school taking 1st year physics I spent 1/2 an hour calculating the launch angle and initial velocity to clear the overhead lighting and land a dinner roll in a bowl of soup on the other side of the cafeteria. Realizing in the end that not only were all of the variables guesstimations I also had no way of calibrating the launch mechanism(Rosie). This deterred me not a whit as I had spent sufficient time internalizing the problem that when the inevitable wingaroo occurred... Nothing but net, splashdown, bullseye, quick, look busy elswhere.

Moral of the story: Your subconscious is smarter than you are, listen to it, let go, feel the force Luke, yada yada yada. And don't dwell on either success or failure, either one will get egg on your face(or broccoli).

I researched ideas on turret construction. The problem I'm running into is lateral force from the recoil. But if I vent the cartridges ahead of the spud I may be able to burn off some of the back pressure. I think I need to focus on designing the cannon first though.

This is better for launching a beer; uses blanks. Leaves a good bruise when launching a full can. Works amazing for shooting tennis balls.

This can be OP’s side arm. He still needs the roof mounted cannon to make this build thread legit
